Kimani Gray, a 16-year-old boy, was shot and killed by New York Police Department (NYPD) officers a couple months ago, and his parents have recently announced that they are filing a wrongful death lawsuit against the city.

From looking at where the body was recovered, he was not in an area to run away. He was trapped," said Kenneth Montgomery, the attorney representing Gray's family, adding that the goal of the lawsuit is to "hold NYPD and these police officers accountable."

A former attorney who worked for the San Francisco Police Department filed a wrongful termination lawsuit against Chief Greg Suhr in San Francisco Superior Court on Wednesday, May 15.

On April 29, lawyers presented closing arguments to a jury in a Tulare County courtroom following nearly a month of testimony in a wrongful death case filed against the City of Porterville, California.

The source states that the incident started when police stopped Steen at around 7 p.m. while he was riding his bicycle because they thought he appeared suspicious. The victim fled from the officers after they used a Taser to try to subdue him, running to his mother's home three blocks away.
