Veronica Caine has been with The Meyers Law Firm
since July of 1996. Veronica previously worked as a legal assistant/paralegal
at The Popham Law Firm, Blackwell, Sanders and Wallace, Saunders. She has
worked primarily on medical malpractice, personal injury and products liability
cases.
Veronica came to Kansas City after receiving her Bachelor of Music degree in vocal music performance from Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas, where she was born and raised. Shortly thereafter, she enrolled at Penn Valley Community College and received her paralegal certificate. In May 2000 she sat for a comprehensive, two-day exam and received her Certified Legal Assistant designation from the National Association of Legal Assistants. She is a member of Kansas City Paralegal Association, National Association of Legal Assistants, Alpha Gamma Delta, Mu Phi Epsilon, past president of 4-H and past Honored Queen of Job's Daughters.
At trial, Veronica assists the firm's lawyers with coordinating witness appearance and organizing and tracking exhibits. In the office, Veronica assists with virtually all aspects of case preparation and scheduling, including client communications, and assembling discovery responses. She is also the firm's bookkeeper, office manager and all around girl Friday.

Brenda
VanWey brings
15 years of experience in several areas of law with her to The Meyers Law
Firm. She received an Associate of Applied Science in Paralegal Studies from
Southwest Missouri State University in 1998 and has worked for law firms in
both Kansas City and Springfield, Missouri. Brenda performs duties from transcription
and document assembly to records organization, case management and client
communication.

Laura
Arensberg grew
up in Midland, Texas. She graduated from Baker University in 1985 with a B.A.
in Mass Communications and received a paralegal certificate in 1988 from the
University of Missouri at Kansas City. Laura worked full time as a paralegal
for 2 years before starting a family. She now splits her time between paralegal
work at The Meyers Law Firm part-time and raising her four children. Laura
is responsible for document imaging and initial client interviews, among other
things.
